I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus--Bb Trumpet and Piano

This arrangment was first recorded by Jason Bergman (trumpet) and Jared Pierce (piano/composer) on the album, Be Still My Soul on MSR Classics. The idea to create a jazzy version of this tune came to me while we were recording the album. I got up early on the last day of recordings and wrote out this arrangment in about 3 hours. If memory serves, we even recorded it in just one take! It remains one of my favorite arrangments and I love it dearly.
